A simple mission turned deadly.
Nineteen-year-old vampire Dawn has led a sheltered life within the confines of her father’s presidential headquarters. Upon being sent on a mission to revamp four goofy misfits into guardians of a peaceful little town of Angel Creek, Dawn believes that all her dreams have finally come true. What starts off as a simple task, turns into something unexpected, changing Dawn’s life forever and leading the action-loving, thrill-seeking vampire teen on a path of mystery, danger and intrigue.
When a human girl is kidnapped by a group of rogue vamps, Dawn discovers that there is more going on in Angel Creek than meets the eye. And it all connects to Ethan, the cute newcomer who seems too perfect to be true, Sebastian, the mysterious vampire with a turbulent past, and even Dawn herself. Dawn must not only succeed in revamping the troubled recruits, but must also prevent the vampire race from being overtaken by a malevolent villain who has a strange and obsessive fascination with her. As threat escalates, romance blooms, and ghosts from her past begin to surface, Dawn is sure of only one thing: her life will never be the same.

There have been several good Vampire books which I really enjoyed this year. But none of them compare to ReVamped. This book really gives me hope that the Vampire genre can come back from the brink and be a great genre in Young Adult like it has the potential to be. Out of all the books I have read this year (117) ReVamped has easily taken the spot as my second favorite book this year. It is that great of a book. Ada's writing is amazing and I just honestly couldn't find any faults with this book. You have an awesome heroine that is a vampire, a group of rogue vampires with some pretty twisted campaign plans and a great romance. I would say that is a great mix of story elements.

This story is fantastic. As I mentioned above, it just has so many awesome elements. You start the story off with Dawn being at her fathers headquarters. I like how simply the story was set in motion, by her being called to her dads office after a training session. And then some things are discussed, and she heads off to Angel Creek which is where the majority of the story takes place. Her arrival at Angel Creek when she encounters Seth. This was when she was meeting all the "Guardian" recruits.. But Dawn's encounter with Seth in the very beginning was pretty hilarious to say the least. This book takes a little while to pick up, but once Viktor and his gang get involved things really get heated. With the election coming up for the next vampire President, Viktor really wants to be able to claim that spot. And he is willing to do anything to get it, I think you all will be surprised by just how far he is willing to go.

Dawn is such an amazing character, she is incredibly strong in any way you want to look at the word. And she is just such an enjoyable character to read. It is really easy to see just how badly she wanted to know about her mother, and how far she was willing to go to get the information. Even though she was afraid at times to question her father. Dawn and her father had a pretty good relationship in the early half of the book, but some things happen later on that come between that and you really hope that they will figure out a way to work things out. I can't complete this review without talking the four other guardians of Angel Creek, Brooke, Sophie, Hunter and Seth are such amazing characters in this story. They are all really funny in their own ways, and are each extremely likable. Honestly don't know what this book would be without them. There are quite a few other really awesome characters in this book, but I would be talking forever if I tried to focus on all of them so I will leave them for you to be surprised by when you read the book. And I have already talked about Viktor, which is a character that is very easy to hate.. don't think I need to go into much detail there.

Oh my, the part of the review I was looking forward to most. Which is where I talk about the ending of this book. I was completely blown away by some of the events at the end of this book. I had several moments where I had to go back and read a page, because I was questioning myself if different things actually happened. Some of the events made Dawn and the other guardians even more awesome than they were before, while others were kind of bittersweet because of things that had happened earlier on in the book. I really hated that some events played out the way they did though, even though some of them weren't so much at the ending of the book but just towards the later part of it. In the end though, I felt like everything came together nicely. And Ada was able to provide a strong ending for such a wonderful book.

I know, you're probably mad that I didn't really talk about the romance. I really liked it though, and I thin it was a great part of the book. I just wanted to let something about the book remain completely elusive, so you had something fun to look forward to. But trust me when I say that I really think you will enjoy it.

I really, really hope that you all will check out this book whenever you get a chance. If you are like me and have been on the fence with vampire books, I really think you will be impressed with ReVamped and what Ada brings to this genre. I am so happy that I gave this book a chance and  I am really looking forward to being able to continue this series when ReAwakened comes out. I wish I had been able to jump right into it after finishing ReVamped, but I am positive it will be worth the wait. I highly suggest picking up a copy of this book though, I highly doubt that you will find yourself being disappointed with that choice.

Thank you to Ada for providing me with a copy of this book for review.

I feel bad I couldn't get into this book. It just didn't do it for me.. There wasn't enough action or drama.

I enjoyed reading your review. I enjoy a strong female lead (especially a vampire)! This must be a pretty good book if its your second favorite of the year! I like the idea of vampire guardians versus the evil faction of vampires that sound like Viktor and his gang!
